We can make a difference together.
The current Situation was avoidable. our Local governments completely failed to involve the public in the process to approve this project. now that it has come painfully to light, we should not shed our outrage; Let's share in it and turn it into useful and positive action.
We have a facebook page where people can upload photos, leave comments, find news, and spread the word. Like us on Facebook here:
Become a member, there is real strength in numbers.
We are collecting donations for several purposes:
To hire legal help to challenge this project in court on whatever grounds will succeed in preventing the destruction of our beach and reef.
To pay for material testing and independent environmental monitoring of our beach and these projects.
To cover operating costs which includes buying advertising, making t-shirts, fliers, and stickers, administrative costs etc.

We need your help and feedback. If there's something you have to offer whether it's time, expertise, or sandwiches for an event, let us know! If you have information that you think would be helpful, send it along. We are only as strong as our base of support, and only as good as the feedback we get.
CONTACT YOUR LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS AND MEDIA OUTLETS
We cannot let up, only constant and sustained pressure will result in a new and better policy.
Letters to editors change the nature of news coverage, letters and calls to your representatives change the dynamics of public debates in government. If they don't know how we feel, why wouldn't they just listen to the large and wealthy interests who are behind this project? We have to let them know that we want them to Save The Beach AND The Money.
Our Mayors and City Governments along the beach have all proclaimed their stewardship of the beach and their desire to save money for taxpayers where they can, so they basically agree with us. They need to know they can count our support if they stand up for our beach.
Contacting public officials lets them know how voters feel. They don't know if they don't hear from us.
